The Company has teamed up with the Apothecaries, the Barbers, the Nurses and the Spectacle Makers and formed a Health Livery group.
As part of this initiative we have organised an inter-Livery talk about Mental Health at 6pm on Wednesday 12 February 2020 at Cutlers’ Hall.
Did you know that 1:4 of us are affected by our mental health in any one year?
Did you know that mental health it is now the common cause of long term sickness absence at work?
Do you know how to recognise someone that might be struggling?
Do you know how to look after the mental health of yourself and that of your colleagues?
Katie Behrens from the Charlie Waller Memorial Trust will talk about what mental health and ill health actually means, and why it is important especially in the workplace. The Charlie Waller Memorial Trust was established over 20 years ago and provides mental health awareness training in schools, universities, further education, primary care and the workplace. The trust also funds research at Reading university.
Afterwards there will be a chance to enjoy a glass of wine and Time to Talk. The evening is expected to conclude by 8.30pm. You are, of course, welcome to come just for the talk.
Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
